What is a mummy but a kind of cover?

A quick survey of covers of various Beefheart songs (and you can click on the header for Rhodri Marsden's "Christmas" version of the end section of "Veterans Day Poppy")...



The wonderful Coati Mundi covers Captain Beefheart in this cut from his 1983 album "The Former 12 Year Old Genius."
